To Our Guests, Employees and our Community,
The Red Shores Team wanted to take a moment to share our sincere hope that your family is staying healthy and safe as our nation copes with the COVID-19 outbreak. Like you, we are actively supporting government issued community safety measures and doing everything possible to help slow the spread so we may return to some level of normalcy. With the guidance of the Government released Renewal PEI Plan; Red Shores Charlottetown will take a phased approach to reopen our operations, starting with live racing for online viewing only, on June 4th.
We wanted to share our commitment for health and safety with you. Red Shores has introduced a new company-wide program to demonstrate our commitment to your health and safety with the introduction of a team dedicated to ongoing assessments of government recommendations and sanitization measures. This team will display our commitment through our horseshoe print campaign. The horseshoe print is a symbol utilized throughout Red Shores properties and represents our commitment to our community, guests and employees. It also symbolizes being guided on the right path, where we’ve always placed your health, safety and well-being as our guiding principle. With that in mind, we established this Horseshoe program to take our commitments to health and safety, for our guests, employees and the communities we serve, a step further to better address some of the new uncertainties many feel right now.
Health & Safety Commitment With the different phases of re-opening, we will continue our enhanced sanitation measures such as frequent cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants, increased availability of hand-sanitizers, sanitization stations, and the regular encouragement of hand washing. Additionally, we continuously assess current conditions and consult with health experts. We will continuously look at additional sanitation and hygiene measures, as well as implementing programs to provide for better social distancing.
Follow our Horseshoes Commitment The team has created a “How to Race during COVID-19” and “Returning to Work during COVID-19” information sheets for guests and employees returning to work during our phased reopening. Red Shores has many safeguards currently in place such as, touch-less washrooms and payment methods, rigorous cleaning and sanitation measures, large spaces with defined pathways, floor markers for any areas where a line up may occur and numerous hand sanitizing stations throughout the properties. A reservations-only business model will be in effect for the Top of the Park and a call-ahead seating to better place and space customers will be in effect at Turfs Bar and Grill.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. It is our promise to keep you informed and updated on all of our Commitment initiatives as we progress. We hope you know that when we open our doors for guests once again, all of us at Red Shores are looking forward to welcoming you, your family, friends, and loved ones back again!
