Summerside, PE – Brookdale Johnny, with Paul Langille in the bike, captured the Tuesday night feature event at Red Shores Summerside.
Doc Awesome (Adam Merner) set up the fractions of 28.2, 57.1 and 1:26 before Brookdale Johnny, who was was sitting 5th at the head of the lane, chased down the fraction setter in deep stretch to notch his third victory in a row and stop the timer in 1:55.1. Doc Awesome held on for second with Howmac Exclusive (Corey MacPherson) completing the triactor. The 6-3-1 combination returned $94.90. Brookdale Johnny is owned by Douglas and Doug Polley, Amherst, NS. Phil Sizer was the winning trainer.
Langille, Sizer and the Polley ownership team also sent Brookdale Shelley to victory lane in the evening’s opener. Langille scored with Redland Misspretty for trainer Kyle williams to record the driving triple while First Glance, trained by Devon Wallace, won the finale to give Langille the grand slam on the night.
Drivers Brodie MacPhee, Ken Murphy, Corey MacPherson and Adam Merner recorded driving doubles on the program.
