2019 Governor’s Plate Winner
Rose Run Quest wins the 51st Governor’s Plate with driver Marc Campbell in 1:53.0!
Township Chevrolet Buick GMC and Noonan Petroleum presents The 51st running of the Governor’s Plate on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway.
Summerside’s primary festival celebrates three Island passions: lobster, harness racing, and good entertainment. For over 60 years our community has gathered in July to celebrate our fishing industry through lobster and the vital role it plays in the economy and way of life on Prince Edward Island.
The 2018 edition will seek to honour this tradition by retracing the origins and nostalgia of festivals of yesteryear. We are excited to deliver a schedule of programming that showcases not only lobster, but also celebrates what the carnival means to our community. We’ve got three action-packed days of fun planned, so check the program, mark your calendars, round up your family and friends, and join us for what is sure to be a fantastic Summerside Lobster Carnival!
