CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – After a narrow loss last week, Rosetown Mary will try to return to the winner’s circle in the Thursday evening Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Thursday presentation kicks off at 6 P.M. with nine-dashes on tap.
The $3,700 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace hits the track in race 8 with Rosetown Mary the morning line favourite from post 2 for trainer-driver Corey MacPherson and owners Rosetown Stable and Taylor MacPherson. The daughter of Pang Shui has shown the same grit her mother, Brodys Leona, had during her career as a top class mare on the Eastern Seaboard.
Tobins Brownie has captured this class the past two weeks and is assigned post 5 on Thursday for trainer-driver David Dowling and owners Brittany Dowling, Sandra Weeks and Errol Burgoyne.
Share The Moment has rail control with Gilles Barrieau above the wheels for trainer Bo Ford and owners Luke Beck, Scott Bridges and Arnold Myers. The six-year-old daughter of Control The Moment has been excellent in her time on the East Coast and will seek win number 26 of her career on Thursday.
Ms Moyse will have Adam Merner back in the bike from post 3 for trainer Melissa Rennie and owners Olivia May, Quaid Hately and Andrew Cameron. The popular daughter of Rollwithitharry has 26 lifetime victories to her credit.
Rounding out the field is post 4 entry Chelski from the Jennifer Doyle stable for owners Jeff and Robert Skinner of Nova Scotia. Damian MacLellan will hold the lines on the winner of $155,817 lifetime.
The Post Time Picks will go Rosetown Mary’s way for the Thursday feature.
