CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Acefortyfour Dome will seek some Thursday evening feature glory in the top pace of the card at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The capital oval has a 12-dash presentation starting at 6 P.M., with the $3,400 top pace lining up in race 11.
Jason Hughes will drive the Ashley Gamester trained Acefortyfour Dome from post 2 for owner Donald MacRae. The former Fillies and Mares Open Champion drops out of the Open level for this event as she seeks win number four of the campaign.
Shake N Blake (To be driven by David Dowling) has post 4 from the Jennifer Doyle stable. The mare has won five of her last six starts.
Shake N Blake’s lone loss was a second-place finish to this week’s post five starter Maggiesdelight (Corey MacPherson), who has won her last two outings for conditioner Michelle Myers.
Also in the featured pace are Rock The Baby (Marc Campbell), Redland Misspretty (Paul Langille) and Ms Moyse (Adam Merner).
The $3,450 trotting feature in race 10 will see the Island debut of Fight Song (Hughes) for new trainer Ashley Gamester and owners MacRae and Daguet Racing of Pennsylvania. The five-year-old son of Kadabra was a winner his last start in 1:55.2 at Pocono Downs. His main Thursday rivals will be New Legacy (Dowling) and Irish Ray (Campbell).
