SUMMERSIDE, PE – All eyes will be on Invitational contender Batterup Hanover in the Tuesday evening feature at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
The Prince County oval has a 14-dash presentation starting at 6 P.M., with the $3,800 featured pace hitting the track in race 13.
Batterup Hanover is the morning line favourite with post 5 for trainer-driver Paul Langille and Nova Scotia owners Debbie Francis, Douglas Lowthers and Chantel and Rosanne Langille. The six-year-old son of Betting Line last raced in the $50,000 Premier’s Cup final in Charlottetown, finishing seventh while race timed in 1:54 flat.
The Devils Cash has rail control in the featured field with Brady Sweet listed to drive by new trainer Rick Armstrong. The Fearless Diablo pacer had been racing in Maine most of the season for owner Doug Beckwith of New Brunwick where he won over Farmington Fair in 1:55.3.
Howmac Charmer (To be driven by David Dowling) holds down post 2 for trainer Kyle Williams and owner Doug Williams of Ontario. The son of Malicious has been excellent all season with six wins from 17 starts including a 1:54.4 lifetime best two starts back.
Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) gets post 3 from the Paul Biggar operation, with the trainer co-owning the 23-time winner with Donald Callbeck.
Former Invitational star Time To Dance is the post 4 entry for driver Marc Campbell, trainer and co-owner Brent Campbell and co-owners Brady Doyle and Kent MacDonald. A winner of 52-races in his career, Time To Dance scored his first win of the season on Sept. 28 at Red Shores Charlottetown.
The Backstretch Beat likes Batterup Hanover to get it all in the Tuesday evening feature.
“Batterup Hanover has raced the best of the best in Atlantic Canada all season and now lands at the same level he declared victory in on Sept. 21. Langille has been a hot commodity in the driving ranks in Summerside this season and we see him and his trainee grabbing it all tonight.”
