Summerside, PE – Sauble Attack, under the command of Ken Murphy, won the Tuesday night feature at Red Shores Summerside.
Sent off at 17/1 odds, Murphy put the Paul Biggar trainee on the point and cruised through fractions of 27.4, 58 and 1:27.2 on route to his third victory of the season in 1:57.2 Brookdale Johnny (Paul Langille) was second while Coasttocoastshark (Brady Sweet) finished third. Sauble Attack paid $37.90 to win with the 4-5-1 triactor returning $400.60. Biggar co-owns the pacer with Donald Callbeck, Summerside, PE.
In other action, Majestic Mason (Sweet) won the Leon James Stewart memorial for trainer Rick Armstrong in 2:00 flat. The three-year-old colt by Arthur Blue Chip is owned by Stephen Downey, Quispamsis, NB.
Promise Me Later scored in the John Stewart memorial in gate to wire fashion for trainer- driver David Dowling. The filly stopped the timer in 2:00.1 for owners Kingsley Walsh, Albany, PE, Frank Balcom, Amherst, NS and Donald Walsh, Kinkora, PE. Dowling had a driving triple on the card.
Brookdale J Mac held on to win the Cecil James Stewart memorial in race 5. Paul Langille was in the bike for trainer Phil Sizer and owners Dougal R Polley and Douglas E Polley, Amherst, NS. The Langille, Sizer and Polley team had three winners on the night also sending Brookdale Shelley (2:01.1) and Brookdale Jim (1:59.4) to the Woodmere Standardbreds winner’s circle.
Veteran driver Norris Rogers, trainer Nicholas Oakes and Dunsan Farms teamed up for a pair of victories on the program with Jack Tar Moxie going to victory lane in 2:01.2 while Century Invictus recorded his fifth win of the campaign in 1:59.4. Rogers is only ten away from 1000 career wins.
